eBay 13″ TALL x 18″ WIDE x 4″ DEEP VINTAGE (?) BLACK ATTACHÉ BRIEFCASE WITH ‘MATTE FINISH, BONDED LEATHER EXTERIOR’ – SAMSONITE – Item Description & Noted Condition ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a VINTAGE (?) USED ITEM in GREAT CONDITION with NO PACKAGING ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lookit. If you are not 100% Awesome with a Side of Amazing, and a Dash of Suave … this is not something for you to buy. I’m sorry, but lesser beings won’t be able to handle the COOLNESS FACTOR that comes along with owning this. —- 13″ Tall x 18″ Across x 4″ Deep (Pre-Expansion!) Metal Accents appear to be Brushed Nickel Plated Body Wrapped in what the Samsonite Website and Advertising refers to as: ‘Matte Finish Bonded Leather’ For me, the biggest Selling point is the interior. The bottom has cushioning. There are 4 FULL SIZE FILE POCKETS on the Top Panel that can be ‘Snugged Up’ or ‘Loosened’ for Easy Access. Additionally, there is a 1/2 depth, but Full Length Pocket on the exterior of these. There are also 4 Pen Holder Slots, and 2 Flat Pockets for Business Cards or Credit Cards & ID Additionally, there are 2 Expanding Pockets with Hook and Loop Closures that can hold Cell Phones or other comparably sized items you would like to secure. Last but not least, if you need a small amount more room, simply unsnap the buttons and ‘punch’ the bottom down for another inch(?) of space availability ! Outside of the Interior … see what I did there? … There are COMBINATION LOCKS for each side of Case. The Handle is Solid, and Very Well Mounted. Item does have wear ! Degrees of ‘Use Wear’ on Exterior can be found, but this is a BEAUTIFUL PIECE OVERALL ! Why Does It Have Wear ? Well .. I don’t know the full story, but I do know I bough the item LOCKED, and very dirty. I dedicated about 45 minutes to try every number combination to the lock and finally found the correct one, which allowed me access to the contents. The contents included an embossed military discharge from 1998, that detailed Service Medals, Rank, and so forth for a United States Navy Veteran. Who knows what that means, or if the item has been on many adventures? There is no way to prove it one way or another, but I am choosing to believe it has seen ‘Action’ and is waiting for more ! The Handle has a couple of nicks. There is wear on the edges in a couple of places. When the Case is expanded, there are a couple of places on the corner that are cracked. Both Exterior Panels have Minor ‘Imperfections’ In regards to Items that are not BRAND NEW: From my BRIEF inspection of the Item (and/or packaging) I do not find NOTABLE flaws or damage beyond those listed above.
