Original Antique Hanging Light Beautiful RESTORED antique condition! This gorgeous original piece now has freshly updated wiring, a freshly painted antique gold finish and is ready for a new life with you. The fixture has 4 green slag glass panels with swirling dark and light green tones. The fixture is made of brass with metal chain. All the glass panels are secure – one has a repaired hairline crack in the glass, which is only noticed when inspecting closely, as it blends into the swirls of the glass when lit. It is more noticed when unlit if you are trying to look for it, however when hung and in use no one will be “inspecting it”. 😉 The socket has been cleaned and tested and the fixture is working great. It uses one standard-base light bulb up to 100 watts, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like as they use low wattage for bright light. The light bulb and ceiling mount screws are not included. This beautiful antique is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan – see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family’s burgler alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980’s: “Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales”. He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings.
