PURCHASING: Re Manufactured Genuine BMW Motorsport Differential 4.10 Ratio 6 Bolt Flange 8 Bolt Case BESPOKE: Custom built-in house to clients specification. TO FIT: E46 M3 2000- 2006 Manual transmission. PART NUMBERS 2282480 DESCRIPTION: The LSD on these specific Differentials have a life span of around 100k miles typically, dependent on application and maintenance etc. Once this kind of mileage is reached, you generally find that the GKN is ready for rebuilding. Unfortunately there are no parts available for this specific LSD for refurbishment, BMW simply never released any parts for the LSD unit for it to be maintained. Instead BMW insists the complete Differential be replaced after 100k miles at a cost of around 3470+ VAT. Back in 2015 we decided after hi demand from our clients, that we go about finding and making a solution to this problem. We started to re engineer the LSD and can now rebuild the complete visco pump, diaphragm plate and all non consumables within the LSD unit. After many months in Development we now also offer a upgrade molybdenum ceramic coated clutch stack and preload shim. These parts are not available anywhere else and are exclusive to Gear Lab. We know of no other company In Europe able to rebuild the GKN LSD. (A Remanufacted Differential is not a simple bearing and seal change, dont get caught out, as many do.) We provide the highest quality Remanufacted genuine BMW differentials.The differentials are reconditioned with genuine OE components, fully stripped down, cleaned using our in house ultrasonic cleaner, Pinion depth, tolerances, preload, backlash, contact mesh checked along with all new seals, and non consumables replaced. New molybdenum ceramic clutch pack and visco pump rebuilt. Currently and one of very few companies in the UK – possibly the only one – able to offer this upgrade. We have many options in respect to mods, up rated / improved parts, and processes implemented. So you can feel rest asssuered that you are purchasing a quality engineered component. WORKMANSHIP: We are the leading company within the UK and Europe for high precision Remanufacting of BMW M/// Differentials. Pioneering the way with new manufactured products and processes. The workmanship and attention to detail that goes into one of our Differential builds is bar non you will not find any corners cut here. We pride our selves on our Differentials not only internal but external and guarantee our Units for 12 months. All my Differential are built by my self by hand in house every part is scrutinized and inspected and nothing is left to chance. My Differential are fully reconditioned units which means all serviceable parts are replaced. I find my self more and more repairing Differentials that have apparently been reconditioned months prior to find out that all that may have been changed is the absolute minimum or nothing at all. All preload shims custom ground in house to a 1 micron tolerance. A properly rebuilt automotive part.Rebuild includes full strip and cleaning of internal oiling system, with modifications to increase oil flow.The item has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components have been replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part. WARRANTY: We’ll also guarantee our work for 1 years, or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) on fitted Differential, 6 months / 6,000 miles on ‘take-away’ units and 3 months for all auxiliary parts. SHIPPING / LOGISTICS: The Differential will be shipped directly to you on a half pallet, please observe how the Differential is secured and fastened to the pallet. This will help you when it’s time to return your old DifferentialShipping price advertised is for a one way shipping to your desired destination, and does not include the Collection of your old Differential. This can be arranged at an extra cost.UK Mainland Shipping is covered in the ebay listing price. Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland post codes available at an additional cost. SURCHARGE: The surcharge is additional to the ebay purchase price, therefore it is required before the Differential is shipped. The surcharge amount is 600 and maybe refundable once you’re old Differential is received. The old Differential needs to be unmolested and serviceable, what this means is that the Differential needs to come complete not stripped or dismantled, and must have no holes or damage to the case.If your Differential is leaking oil from the case or has no drive, then its safe to say that the Differential is most likely non serviceable. In this case the 600 surcharge will not be refundable. EXCHANGE PROCESS: All Differentials are sold on a exchange basis, therefore your old Differential is required, the exchange process is designed in away to make it more convenient for the buyer. Once the new Differential has been received simply refrain all packaging and securing fixings, these will assist you when returning the old Differential. The return of the old Differential is at a cost of the buyer, it is the responsibility of the buyer to return the Differential in a safe and secure method with the packaging provided. The exchange process can be handled by us for an additional cost, usually the same price as the shipping to you. DEPARTURE: Some Differentials are bespoke and built to order, there for there can be down time before the Differential is shipped. We aim to get most Differential shipped within 3 days of the purchase date. This can be extended considerably if the Differential is a bespoke item and requires a build slot.
